Una faccenda che mi sta a cuore

and I receive more than happy to place on our blog Canevacci the open letter that Max sent to the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
The matter is close to my heart: the deep friendship toward Canevacci Massimo, who is also author of the highly esteemed publishing house, and my passion for cultural anthropology.
The Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Rome has long embraced a highly questionable profile, locking all too often the reflections of greater depth and complexity of the universe in the meshes of infotainment and communication of a vision of the cultural crushed tivvù on. This has also resulted in more or less directly, marginalization, exclusion or autoespulsione of many teachers, researchers, scholars who nurture their academic life with passion for research and teaching and they do from each other and relations with students. That they lead to the elimination of teachings that have in part been the story of that possibility, and that they certainly have scored among the highest peaks, not only for Oceanic student participation in courses, if ever we needed it, another sign of the times. Cupissimi times, when the university seems to be destined to become the executor of itself and in which demand more and more burning regards assuring the flow of ideas in our country. Open Letter to the Faculty of Communication Sciences, University "La Sapienza" of Rome

New choices of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, University "La Sapienza" force me to make public some concerns, because, in the face of an undeniable crisis of the three-year, it was decided to restructure the order of the studies according to a vision of restorative and crushed on the existing communication.
